Issue No. 0

How Newslog went live

Why it exists, how it picks the day’s stories, and what comes next.

Why

I wanted one short daily read on tech, AI and the money behind them, without the endless scroll. Most newsletters pick stories by gut feel or by whatever is trending. Newslog starts from a simpler question: what are the most newsrooms covering right now?

How it works

The live page follows a few dozen newsrooms all day and shows the ten stories getting the most coverage, under the publishers’ own headlines. Each weekday morning the top stories become the daily issue, each one boiled down to a single sentence, and I edit every line before it goes out at 8 AM Eastern.

What it isn’t

No hot takes, no stock tips, no copied articles. The summaries are ours, and every story links straight to the original reporting. If a link has a paywall, you’ll see a small lock .

Going live

The live page went up in early October 2026, and Issue No. 1, “Home Rules,” ran on October 7. Email started on Friday, October 9: the daily issue now lands in inboxes at 8:00 ET, Monday to Friday.

What’s next

More good sources, a sharper morning read and, eventually, an app. Ideas and corrections are always welcome at info@newslog.app.

Thanks for reading.
