Omni 1.2 Flash: Google's video model now powers Google Vids
Google has put Omni 1.2 Flash, its newest video generation model, behind Google Vids, its video creation and editing tool. The model generates AI video clips up to 15 seconds long. Google announced it on Nov 05, 2026.
Starting today, anyone with a Google account or Google Workspace subscription can generate up to three 15-second videos per month in Vids at no cost. Google says reference images, such as photos from a trip or a school project, keep characters and scenes consistent from the first frame to the last. It also says speech narration has improved, so clips sound more natural.
Google pitches it for product promos, quick-turn social content and teaser videos made without a single cut. The Decoder reports that Google DeepMind is making Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available, with step-by-step editing through conversation. It also reports pricing of $0.07 per second at 720p, 30 percent less than the predecessor. You can try Vids at vids.new.
